Coral Tree’s mission is to make inclusive and specialised early education more accessible and therefore we will be opening a campus in Port Elizabeth in 2026. This new branch of Khula Learning Foundation (with it’s head office in the Western Cape) will strive to empower growth through inclusive, play based education.

The Coral Tree Playschool supports learners ages 18 months to 6 years who present with developmental delays, sensory processing disorder, mild intellectual disability and low- to medium-support Autism.
The school uses the National Curriculum Framework for children birth to four years (NCF) as curriculum guideline, supplemented by a variety of additional resources and tailored to every learner’s level of development.
We believe in teamwork, and our teachers work closely with various therapists, allowing us to develop, adjust and provide individual therapeutic interventions for every learner.
Small group learning (max 6-8 children per class) allow us to provide individualised support and one-on-one learning throughout the day.
Continuous assessment is conducted by the staff and individual education plans (IEP) are developed in conjunction with therapists as required.
We aim to create opportunities for our learners where social and self help skills are taught to assist our learners to engage positively in bigger groups.
